Benches and historical background - HBM.

Sometimes a building withstands time and appears today without any significant change: this is the case with Lassay Castle. Built in the 14th/15th centuries, the torments of history have spared it. It escaped destruction, invasion and other religious wars and has preserved its 8 massive towers, its magnificent barbican and: the drawbridge still works! A rare example of military architecture from this period.

Construit aux 14/15ème siècles, les tortures de l'histoire l'ont épargné. Il a échappé aux destructions, invasions et autres guerres de religion et a conservé ses 8 tours massives, sa magnifique barbacane et : le pont-levis fonctionne toujours ! Rare exemple d'architecture militaire de cette époque.

BÄNKE VOR HISTORISCHEM HINTERGRUND. Manchmal hält ein Gebäude der Zeit stand und erscheint heute ohne nennenswerte Veränderung: das ist der Fall bei der Burg von Lassay. Im 14./15. Jh. erbaut, haben die Torturen der Geschichte sie verschont. Sie entging der Zerstörung, Invasion und anderen Religionskriegen und hat ihre 8 massiven Türme bewahrt, ihre prächtige Barbakane und : die Zugbrücke funktioniert noch immer! Ein seltenes Beispiel militärischer Architektur dieser Zeit.
