They all ran away, but I made first a photo!

They all ran away, but I made first a photo!
We were sitting under the old yew, and suddenly it hissed: it was this wonderful grass-snake...

Thanks Andy. It was taken in a garden here in our region (West of France), it's a grass snake (or ringed snake) and non-venomous - but it's impressive, isn't it?

Micritter, thank you. But I must say, I would've run away if it would have been in Africa or Asia - here in Europe we don't have really dangerous snakes.

Excellent shot ... and extra points for not running away. ;) Two questions ... did it offer you an apple, and did you pet it? :D Wonderful photo. Warmest greetings from the United States.

Thanks Eric. No apple offer from this snake, but that's normal, my name is NOT Eve;-) And I had no time to pet it: after having made my photo it disappeared quickly...

Treffer!

Super! LG, Karsten
