Night Scene Before Entering Da Ba
This shot was taken on board of the cruise ship with out tripod, it is light shower & warm at 85degree that night.
This scene let's me recall about the saying , before Hong Kong return to China & what I saw in the 80's & 90's about China major cities.
That is all mono tone at night. Just like these.
There were comedians acting on TV then that when Hong Kong return to China, the whole colorful city would become the same.
Actually, that is proved wrong, today, Hong Kong is still very colorful at night. Then when you step onto Shengzhen, you found that you may be in the replica of Hong Kong.
Now when you travel in Shanghai or Beijing , Guan Zhou at night, you see the colorful neon & LED lights everywhere.
I recalled my statement to the Iron man of Asia in 1962 that Chinese Language would become the most important business language in the world in 30 years time, & Shanghai would again become the No 1 city in the world.
During those day there is no freedom of speech. No freedom of writing, No freedom of expression, etc. all medias are controlled by the Supreme Power man.
As a kid expressing opinion in public, especially to the Power man of Asia in person, it is really take every politicians & officials by surprise. I can be landed in life time imprisonment, if he thinks that I am against him.
It is fortunate that he did not think otherwise then.
Now looking back. I am still right!!
