Der Schlagbaum bewegt sich - The Lever is moving.

Die Honigbiene im Bild ist gerade dabei in eine Salbeiblüte (Salvia pratensis) hineinzukrabbeln, um Nektar zu saugen. Dabei löst sie einen Mechanismus aus (Schlagbaummechanismus), der die Staubblätter der Blüte zum Absenken bringt, wobei Pollen auf dem Rücken der Biene abgestreift wird. Beim Besuch einer anderen Salbeiblüte kann dieser Pollen auf deren Stempel (Narbe) übertragen und so diese Blüte bestäubt werden.
Die Aufnahme entstand auf einer Wiese bei sonnigem Wetter und im Gegenlicht.

The honey bee in the picture is crawling into a sage flower (Salvia pratensis) to suck nectar. In doing so, it triggers a lever mechanism that causes the stamens of the flower to lower, stripping pollen off the bee's back. When visiting another sage flower, this pollen can be transferred to its pistil (stigma) and thus pollinate this flower.
The photo was taken in sunny weather and backlit.
