Corona: Würzburg setzt auf Vernunft - Würzburg places its faith in reason - PiP

Die Corona-Fallzahlen steigen wieder, auch wegen der sich breit machenden Unvernunft mancher Menschen. Deshalb hat die Stadt Würzburg am 1.8.20 zu einem öffentlichkeitswirksamen Mittel gegriffen, um die Bevölkerung zu mehr Vorsicht in der Corona-Krise zu mahnen: Sie stülpte allen Brückenheiligen auf der Alten Mainbrücke, die ein beliebter Treffpunkt für Einheimische und Fremde ist, gelbe Mund-Nasen-Masken mit speziellen Aufschriften über (siehe PiP). Auf der Maske von St. Kilian steht "Wir halten seit 295 Jahren Abstand". Wollen wir hoffen, dass unsere Mitbürger durch solche Aktionen aufgerüttelt werden mitzuhelfen, dass eine 2. Infektionswelle verhindert werden kann.

The corona case numbers are rising again, also because of the spreading unreasonableness of some people. Therefore, the city of Würzburg has taken a publicity campaign on 1.8.20 to urge the inhabitants to be more cautious in the Corona crisis: It put on yellow mouth and nose masks with special inscriptions for all bridge saints on the Old Main Bridge, which is a popular meeting place for locals and foreigners (see PiP). On the mask of St. Kilian it is written "We have kept our distance for 295 years". Let us hope that our fellow citizens will be awakened by such actions to help prevent a second wave of infection.
