Friedliche Koexistenz - Peaceful coexistence - PiPs

On an origano flower, a green-veined white (Pieris napi) on the right and a rare blue spot hairstreak (Satyrium spini) on the left are sucking peacefully side by side. In some places, the blue spot hairstreak butterfly is very much endangered. The name of the butterfly refers to the forage plant of the caterpillar (Rhamnus) and to the small tails on the back wings of the butterfly (see PiPs). The photo was taken in the hot edge area of an abandoned quarry.
