Ein Sommertag in Island - A summer day in Iceland

Many thanks for your kind comment. During our trip in Southern Iceland we had best weather (never rain!) and therefore good conditions for taking pictures. Many areas of Southern Iceland along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean are green land, i.e. agriculturally used for sheep and horse breeding. Behind them, in the direction of the interior, inhospitable volcanoes and glaciers rise. The picture was taken on the mountain that my wife and I climbed and whose plateau we circled. The many sea birds and the wonderful view over the Atlantic Ocean and to the glacier world were a deep experience!
