Die Aufnahme entstand an einem kalten, nebligen Sonntagsmorgen.
Eine der Steinfiguren auf der Alten Mainbrücke in Würzburg stellt den Frankenapostel Kilian dar. In der bildenden Kunst wird er immer mit einem Schwert, mit dem er später ermordet wurde, dargestellt.

The photo was taken on a cold, foggy Sunday morning.
One of the stone figures on the bridge Alte Mainbrücke in Würzburg represents the Franconian Apostel Saint Kilian. In the fine art he is always displayed with a sword with which he was later murdered.

Hier: Sonntagmorgen ca. 10.00 Uhr, Würzburg schläft noch. Aber immer an den Wochenenden ab Mittag bei schönem Wetter geht auf der Brücke die Post ab!!! Und dann beginnt auch der "Kampf" der Radfahrer, die über die Brücke fahren wollen, mit den Leuten, die dort feiern.

S/W: ansprechend, aber das goldene Schwert geht in den Grautönen unter.
S/W mit Infraroteffekt (Photoshop Elements): Das goldene Schwert kommt gut heraus.
Ich denke, es ist Geschmackssache. Das S/W-Bild mit Infraroteffekt habe ich als PiP eingefügt. Herzlichen Dank für deinen Kommentar und Vorschlag!

Klasse und zugleich düster ist diese Nebelstimmung. Die Brücke mit den Figuren erinnert mich ein bisschen an die Karlsbrücke in Prag.

it was foggy and still and silent too
what would happen next . . . he had not a clue
but he hastened his step and walked quickly away
but knew he would return on another day
did he escape or was he chased
we shall wait and see, did someone act in haste ?
a mystery moment where we must wait
