Die Blätter sind jetzt gelb und rot,
sie leuchten schön, bald sind sie tot,
nur weil das Chlorophyll im Blatt
null Bock auf kühle Herbstwelt hat.
Die Blätter, die am Baum noch baumeln,
werden bald zu Boden taumeln;
sie müssen auch noch weichen,
der Herbst macht Blätterleichen.
