LGC Needs ID

Another caterpillar for me to get ID'd and recorded, I'm trying very hard to photograph as many as possible this year so that I can start on a pdf for IDing caterpillars as the resourses you can get are very expensive or not very complete. I should say also that if anyone wants to help with this project, and has british caterpillars or stages of, to contact me.

Meadow Brown Caterpillar

I've been really trying to concentrait on Caterpillars this year so that I can have better ways of IDing them, so I'm always excited when I find a new one (and get an ID..lol) this was made better as its a Butterfly species, which we don't see cats of often.

Patio Life: Orange-tip Butterfly Egg

Two years ago I resecued some Garlic Mustard from the footpath near my home (council weedwacked it to death a few days later!!) and it had three Orange-tip butterfly caterpillars on it. I really enjoyed them and had hoped the following year I would get them to visit me up on the balcony, no luck and it didn't even bloom :( This year however it did bloom, and I was ever so inspired by my contact Adrian Jones to look closely for eggs. And don't you know I found some!! Of course this shot is nothing like his beautiful one but I had to give it a try! I had to take about a Bazillion shots with two cameras to get just this one I could see anything in...hahaha Can't wait for the caterpillars :D

We found this guy by doing a bit of beating, where you tap branches of trees or shrubs into a net. He was on Apple (Malus), Crab Apple we believe. He was hard to ID from this photo, more photos to come of him plumbed up and easier to ID
