Lurking in the shadows

Lurking in the shadows
Two of the ex-BOAC Atlanteans, C097 (LYF 307D) and C104 (LYF 314D) are seen the British Airways Victoria Coach Terminal just across from Victoria Coach Station. By this time the terminal was looking a bit shabby as exemplified by the mismatched 'British Airways' sign. LYF 307D survives in preservation

I don't think the service lasted much longer as according to The London Airports - with particular reference to their transport links with London "Airbus A1 and A2 were introduced 15 November 1980, the A1 starting at Victoria and the A2 from Paddington (later King's Cross). The A1 effectively replaced the old BOAC service, and in fact employed some of the British Airways drivers"
