Rescued by Epson*: Route 24 - the new order
Taken in early 1989, two of Grey Green's Alexander RV-bodied Volvo Citybuses are seen at the South End Green, Hampstead Heath, the northern terminus of Route 24.

Route 24 was the first central London route to be awarded under the tendering process to a private company. That company was Grey Green who had taken over operation of the 24 in November 1988. The route stayed the Cowie Group and it's successor Arriva until 2002
