Bodie Island Lighthouse, and Coast Guard Station
ATLANTIC COAST LIGHTHOUSE - The shallow shoals and treacherous currents of the Outer Banks of the Atlantic and Carolina Coast have caused Hundreds of Ships to Wreck. Spanish Treasure Gallions, British, French, and American Ships have gone down in an area known as the "Grave Yard" of the Atlantic. These Lighthouses are there to prevent the Ships from going around on the shallow shoals and barrier reefs. The House is for the Coast Guard to Man a Crew to Send Rescue Boats to Ships, in an Emergency.
