Impressive sight of Mother Nature in action. Not funny for the people affected, though. I feel so sorry for them. Some have been flooded for a month now which must be heartbreaking.

o0o Hi Larry ... the fields on the way into Stratford have water lying in them ... the nearest
to the River always can flood .... but it has started to flood on the other side of the
road which is a beautiful golf club ... I have never seen water lying there quite like
that before ... thankfully the road is higher and this is preventing the main road into
stratford from becoming inpassable ... but if this continues ... well ... there will be
much long term damage to the trees I am sure .. they cannot stand in water for
these long lengths of time without actually drowning ... and many have done around
the theatre the other year ... and they had to be felled ... old old Chestnut Trees that
had been there since before I was born ... now all gone ... and of course the flooding
resulted in the Theatre being renovated ... lets hope the new theatre stands the
test ;-) oOo

I like my life far away from rivers and large bodies of water:)

o0o Dave, I love to see the sea ... and live so far away from it ... and miss the
moods and changes of her but the we have many Rivers and they are lovely
for the reflections and evening light especially ... but to live too close to them,
well its frequently a disaster waiting to happen ... the climate is changing
and we seem to be having far more rain ... and high tides in Spring ...
we expect but this is prolonged ... and I agree ... living life away from rivers
is best ... o0o
