Hi Lise ... 'beyond' because the idea is to be inclusive ... to have images that are poetic in the same 'a lot in a little' way that haiku or senryu are. I don't want to limit expression and I am certainly not a purist. They are, I suppose, 'ones from the heart'. Small but poignant pieces of inner or outer reality! Thanks for asking!
