sugar mill Hershey

sugar mill Hershey
What remains today are three chimneys, a big hall and a transformer station, which is buzzing dangerously, it's still operating. Read more about the history 2 pics before. It was sugar mill no. 205 of Cuba and it's postrevolutionary name is "Camilo Cienfuegios", which is also the name of the little village today. The building on this image and the image before can be seen on the far right side of the old postcard in the PiP. The main buildings had been much much larger.

Another great series and it's fascinating to compare the ruins with the operating mill in the old photo.
