For once, I must say the color version is even more interesting to me than the black and white. Both very beautiful, though.

Thank you, Berny. A pleasure to see it in full size. The colors have a "pastel" quality (probably from age) that enhances the sense of nostalgia, at least for me.

Another great series. I'll also go for the colour. It fascinates me how (in so many of your industrial series) the factories have been abandoned as if closure was an overnight decision and not planned.

I had been thinking along those same lines, George, but could not articulate my observation as well as you have! They make me think of some images from Chernobyl, where people had to leave at a moment notice and left almost everything behind as it was at that instant in time, dishes on the table, pots on the stove, dolls on children's beds ... The same here: spools spilled on the floor, thread still threaded on the machines, like someone walked in right in the middle of a work shift and yelled "A bomb is about to go off!"

As far as I know, there were no workers during the last years, only the owner worked at small orders and after final insolvency of the company the owner lived there until his death.

I keep on saying it, but the amount of detail you capture in your Urbex images is always superb...........and these are no exception. I love this latest set..............they're all absolutely fascinating and you can't help getting engrossed in them.

Ich glaub, ich mag Farbe einen Ticken lieber....aber S/W ist gruseliger!
