HPP Arnstein
A new album about the wonderful old Hydro Power Plant Arnstein in Western Styria. The storage power plant with a beautiful turbine hall and control center was built in 1922-1925, with a annual energy production of 49 GWh and a power of 30 MW. Three horicontal Francis -turbines, each with 10 MW and a nominal flow of 5.5 m³/s and generators with 13.000 kVA are still in operation and all is pretty the same state since the 1920's. There is a 5.25 km long penstock leading from the storage lake "Langmann" to the power station. At first we will visit the turbine hall, but only with ear plugs ;-)

Auch das ist ein "Attribut" (wenn man so will) alter Industrieanlagen.
