Koutoubia


The Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakech. It has a large plaza with gardens, the minaret is 77 metres tall. It was completed under the reign of the Berber Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur (1184 to 1199). Non moslems may not enter........

EDIT: Nachrecherchiert. Dort stand die "Almoravid Festung", sind wohl Ruinen dieser Festung und die Nordwand, die ich oben erwähnte, war die Grenzwand zur Festung. Ganz klar ist mir die zeitliche Abfolge nicht ganz.
