1,970m - Entrance to the Climbing Route "Heini Holzer"
The via ferrata Heini Holzer above Meran (South Tyrol, Italy) was obviously built for tourist purposes. Because such elaborate information boards can hardly be found elsewhere. Let's hope it doesn't attract the wrong people. (Captured by my wife.)
~~~~~
Der Klettersteig Heini Holzer oberhalb von Meran (Südtirol, Italien) wurde ganz offensichtlich zu touristischen Zwecken angelegt. Denn solch aufwändige Hinweistafeln findet man anderswo kaum. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass das nicht die Falschen anlockt. (Bild aufgenommen von meiner Frau.)
Ich lebte 10 Jahre in Meran, aber das ist lang her..................
Bergfex club has replied to Annemarie clubNur über die Einstufung der Schwierigkeit wird noch gestritten. Der Tourismusverband möchte "B/C". Kundige Besucher sind angesichts der Höhenlage (bis 2.400m), der Länge (>500 Klettermeter) und einiger knackiger C-Stellen allerdings der Ansicht, dass das zu niedrig bewertet ist und deshalb möglicherweise Anfänger verleitet, sich in eine Gefahr zu begeben, mit der sie nicht fertig werden. Wahrscheinlich muss erst was passieren . . .
Annemarie club has replied to Bergfex clubGut!
Ja die Suedtiroler.............sind wohl nicht typische "Italiener";)
