A a mini double rope bridge within the fixed rope route "Schuastagangl" in Waidring (Tyrol, Austria).. Today a short walk, in those days a daring test.

Der dicke Haken sieht recht stabil aus, falls du abgerutscht wärst. Und doppelt angebunden/gesichert warst du auch noch. Das weckt Vertrauen in solch ein Vorhaben. Hast du wohl schon mal eine Situation erlebt, in der du tatsächlich abgerutscht bist und diese Haken deine Rettung waren? Gibt es beim Klettern wohl noch etwas, das dich noch besonders reizen würde, dies jedoch eine weitere Mutprobe wäre?
Bergfex club has replied to Stevia clubIch selbst bin noch nie abgerutscht, aber bei meiner Frau haben sich einfach mal die Hände gelöst, als sie schräg rücklings geklettert ist ("E"). So was passiert. Man kann das nicht mit dem Willen steuern. Sie baumelte dann im Rettunggurt und schaute ganz erstaunt.
Mutprobe? Reizt mich weniger. Hatte ich genug im Leben. Ich bin inzwischen mehr genußorientiert unterwegs. Immer eine Stufe unter dem Limit. Aber mal einen 4.000er ohne Aufstiegshilfe, also vom Talort aus eigener Kraft bis zum Gipfel, das würd ich gern noch wissen wollen. (Mein höchster Gipfel war bisher der Großglockner. Höhere Berge gibt's in Östtereich nicht.)

Tja, wenn's in Österreich keine 4.000er gibt, wie wär es denn mit einem Berg in der Schweiz, z B. das Matterhorn?
Dein Foto "Ridge of the Ghosts" ist übrigens der Hammer! Erstaunlich, dass man dort überhaupt noch laufen kann! Der Fels auf dem du da stehst, wirkt direkt ähnlich spitz und kantig wie das Matterhon auf mich! ;-)
Aber vermutlich liegt bei den 4.000ern Schnee und Eis in der Höhe. Ob das Klettern dabei noch ein Genuß sein kann? Die Ausrüstung dafür ist sicher auch noch mal ganz speziell!
Aber wie heißt es so schön: "Träume sind da, um gelebt zu werden!" Vielleicht klappt es ja einmal und du findest einen passenden 4.000er! Toi, toi, toi!
