  • Doncaster Daffs

Friday the 14th of March was a historic day, Daffs are out and there was no wind. So I went out on a mission to get some decent daff shots. I set myself a limit of only using my 30mm lens all day. These were spotted on my way to a supermarket next to a b…

Friday the 14th of March was a historic day, Daffs are out and there was no wind. So I went out on a mission to get some decent daff shots. I set myself a limit of only using my 30mm lens all day. Found near the east coast main line, I could not resist g…

  • Lucky sandwich

Friday the 14th of March was a historic day, Daffs are out and there was no wind. So I went out on a mission to get some decent daff shots. I set myself a limit of only using my 30mm lens all day. Driving through this village, I spotted the small village…

  • Attention

All lined up ready to be screwed into place. I spent all day Sunday working on some new decking in the garden on our new decking. Naturally, I had my camera.

  • Burning sky

After working in the garden all day on Sunday, the weather began to take a turn for the worst but have you noticed that this is often a good time to take pictures of the sky? I love the way the sun outlines the cloud. Taken from platform 3, our new deck.

  • Trees Ortonised

Whilst I'm in an experimenting mood, I thought I would have a go at the Orton effect too and this one is a rarity from me as I have added a border too, I think it works though.

  • Little spider

So, here is the spider without his penny, posing as prettily as is possible for a little ugly creepy crawly.

  • Money Spider

I noticed this little fellow on my bedroom wall, I started taking pictures but it leapt off onto the floor and found the carpet hard going and stood still enough for me to get some shots. I found it very hard to focus on such a tiny specimen so the pictur…

  • Canterlever?

I thought it was about time I relieved my phone of some of the hundred or so photos stored on it. Here are a couple of pics I took in one of my pedantic moods. This one of a van I saw yesterday in t'Leeds makes me wonder if they got this signwriting done…

  • Lets eat naked

I thought it was about time I relieved my phone of some of the hundred or so photos stored on it. A recent meal at a local pub turned nasty when we all refused to eat whilst 'bare'. Well it was below freezing outside, blimey charlie... Here are a couple…

  • High key shoes

A 'high key' version of my new shoes shot from yesterday. A slight crop but otherwise the same shot with a levels and curves adjustment.

  • Gerbera Light

I spent the afternoon taking photographs of this flower, uploaded them to my computer and then my camera stopped working. Fortunately, they replaced it, same day.

  • What's on TV

Yes, I still have a CRT TV, I've yet to see a Plasma or LCD screen with a picture anywhere near as good. Here the TV is seen in the dark lit only by a mini maglight. Effect made in camera.

  • Gimme 5

    Greetings from Echo.

  • Do you like bokeh with your grapes?

These had just been washed and were drying in the afternoon sun when they shouted 'photograph' to me.
