First time I've seen so many in a line, can only think that at the time this was taken it was the first "sunny" period of the year and, as usual, Birds thoughts turn to "Love" It may be that the first bird is a female, and the others are males. I've seen it with Mallard and other Dabbling ducks where the female is obviously being followed by several males. Here it can only be a matter for conjecture.
