1971 VW Pick-Up Truck - PCW 44J

1971 VW Pick-Up Truck - PCW 44J
One of two shots I took of this intriguing little truck.

From the front it looks somewhat like a Morris Minor, but records show it to be VW based.

Delirium, Indycaver (Norm) have particularly liked this photo

Yeah, I tend to agree Norm despite the Morris Minot front end and a bed that seems to be formed from the back end of a Type 3 Variant.

The DVLA records show it has a 1285cc engine so again that makes you think Beetle.

Yeah, I can see the Type 3 in it along the back fender lines. Neat little truck! About 10 or 11 years ago, I saw a Beetle that had been customized into a little pickup truck. The cab had been shortened to just the front half and a bed had been added to the back. I've always wished that I had stopped and got a shot of it, but for some reason, I didn't.
