1999 VW Golf Mk4 GTI Turbo - T630 GCK

1999 VW Golf Mk4 GTI Turbo - T630 GCK
The penultimate shot in this album and I've just realised how many white cars there were at this show.

It really has become the new silver ... think I'll need to get Lily resprayed!

Indycaver (Norm) has particularly liked this photo

The white and black combo look pretty good! I like what he did with the registration numbers. We couldn't get away with that here! I'm quite fond of silver, but it's one of those paints that leads to rust with the aluminum content.

You wouldn't get away with it here either Norm, so I think it must just be for show or he's taking a risk every time he goes out.

Interested in what you say about silver, I'd never heard that.

Aluminum and steel are not compatible due to the status of the electron charge of their atoms. Steel will rust much faster anytime it comes in contact with aluminum. A lot of the automotive paints would use powered aluminum to get the silver color and thus the rust.
