Yoshinogari Historical Park from watch tower 吉野ヶ里歴史公園 佐賀
In the central fortified residential section were 2 watch towers that you could climb and look out over the park. Reconstructions of Yayoi buildings were placed directly over the post hole locations of the original buildings. The stockades and moats were placed likewise. The settlement dates from 300BCE to 300CE, just when the Korean immigration brought rice culture and metallurgy to the islands, and the peoples changed from Jomon to Yayoi.
