bricks and mortar

bricks and mortar
taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "things that go together".

This is a 'new' part of an old brick wall, further to the left the are reputedly bullet holes left from a major battle during the English civil war.

andréa, .t.a.o.n., Roger Dodger, Steve Bucknell and 10 other people have particularly liked this photo

I've always found bricks and mortar (and rock walls too) to be fascinating and your photo is a great representation of it A.S. There is such an art to doing this.

thanks all for the comments and faves, it's not an easy-like image, I can't tell which are the bullet holes and which are from some other cause, I'll maybe snap the church door next time I go past, I think the holes are easier to recognise . . .

Like the texture and heavy tones. The hint of upward movement at the LH side is good.
