Many have forgotten the day back in October of 1999 when the riverbank collapsed taking some prime real estate along for the ride. Now the view can be enjoyed by all who pass by. The clever "broken" fence on the right of the photo marks the border of the still standing, heavily reinforced "house next door" to the three homes lost to erosion.

I remember that very well! The city really shouldn't have allowed developers to talk them out of insisting on a road between private property and the river valley or ravine, it was a very poor decision.

Very beautiful shot!
