This album is dedicated to traveling to Namibia in May 2019 with a group of friends. From Windhoek we had moved on rented jeeps through National Parks of Erindi and of Etosha, the Spitzkoppe Mountains and Waterberg Plateau.
Then we visited Himba and Damara traditional villages and also the Sossusvlei National Park in the Desert of Namib. Finished the journey in Swakopmund.

Sossusvlei is a salt and clay valley surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, which is one of the major visitor attractions of Namibia.
The name "Sossusvlei" is of mixed origin and roughly means "marsh with no return". Sossusvlei is a drainage basin without outflows for the ephemeral Tsauchab River.
Waterberg Plateau is a partially elevated space that rises to a considerable height relative to the Kalahari plains in the eastern part of Namibia. Waterberg Park and surrounding areas are declared a nature reserve in 1972. The oldest rock formations are 850 million years old, and there are dinosaur tracks left 200 million years ago.
