Stamped in ink on the back of this photo: "Made by Harry B. Killian, 624 First St., Lancaster, Pa."

This is a real photo postcard with a Cyko stamp box on the other side that suggests a date sometime between 1904 and the 1920s.

Thanks, Deborah! I'm not sure what the vine is, but I'm glad you pointed it out. I have another photo by a different photographer who lived on the same street at about the same time as the one who made this photo. After you mentioned the vine, I realized that the other photo has the same vine in the background, which makes me wonder if it was taken at the same location. Or maybe it was a popular plant that everyone had in their backyard. I haven't readied the other photo for posting yet, but here's a preview:

Interesting, Alan. when I saw your gamer child photo it looked familiar - but I thought perhaps I remembered yours from a former posting.
However when I looked back at my contributions to VTP, I found this one - quite similar to yours.
Perhaps it was a traveling photographer's theme!
