We Don't Care If We Never Go Back, Indianapolis, Ind.

We Don't Care If We Never Go Back, Indianapolis, Ind.
A Vintage Photos Theme Park photo for the theme of my old pal—depicting friends, buddies, pals enjoying each other's company.

Sign: "We don't care if we never go back." Banner: "Indianapolis."

An unused real photo postcard of two friends pretending to be in a hot air balloon as they pose for a souvenir photo in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Noko stamp box on the other side suggests that it may date between 1907 and 1929. I have other cards with photos of the fellow on the left that were postmarked in 1911.

Interesting that this one is tied to a specific destination, whereas the ladies are just on a train going who knows where.

I wonder if they were leaving or going to Indianapolis. We'll never know. I can't imagine a Hoosier photographer showing such open disdain for the state's capital. The ladies are equally interesting. I imagine the woman on the right may have had some explaining to do when she show the photo to the family back home.

Interesting expression on the face of the man on the left! "Am I really doing this?"
So that line from "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"...were they singing a line from a well-used expression, I wonder? (I don't care if I never come back).
I love that women on the train. those are some pretty edgy posters! : )
