Your description is more accurate than the one in the showcase (the great inflation did not happen during the wars, but between, and way before Hitler).

"Postage Stamp" once had a double meaning in germany : the value was stamped onto a blank print because it rose every day.

Yes, I did not think that the notes were of very high denomination. Your references and the picture of the stamp are very interesting. I am currently reading a book by Hans Fallada, a novel set during the period of Germany's hyperinflation, "Wolf amongst Wolves" ("English title of this translation).
