No, he came pre- blackened. :)) He is too dark to photograph really well, and besides he doesnt live with me, so you probably wont be seeing Captain ( or Hamster) very often. :)) He such a sweet hamster though!!! I held him all the way home in the car and he was not a bit skittish.

Not, just "Hamster" Its Haamm-st-tter, with extra long "ham" and an extra "t" and "ster" Heheheheheh!

He is very dark and velvety

yes he's very soft, like a Sable coat. Definitely the softest hamster I've ever felt.
