BEFORE THE INTERNET:
From a book about a famous French regional Jazz club in Bresse-sur-Grosne, Bourgogne, where various combos I was in used to play at whilst on tour in France.
Usually we stayed a few days in rural idyll with the owner Jacky Barbier, a big "Canterbury Music' fan. There was an attached studio and Jacky recorded the gigs. Some of the SOFT Heap 'A Veritable Centaur' CD was recorded there.
