The Increasingly Ubiquitous Selfie Stick

The Increasingly Ubiquitous Selfie Stick
I wanted to take it from her and provide her with a proper photograph.

Female visitors have to wear a skirt. They provide wraparounds at the entrance. This woman is sporting hers while trying to get that perfect selfie.

Great Meteoron Monastery, Greece.

HFF October 23. This fence has been protecting tourists from fatal selfies for years.

LOL! =D Yes, right after I though I had kind of invented this, I found out these things had become somewhat a fashion and meme.

Juleann, I still do ask strangers to take a photo for me! especially if I'm out in the hills or somewhere else interesting - it's often a way to strike up conversation, you can take one for them in return etc - a nice bit of human interaction.

And like Puchinpappy, the number of times I see people taking photographs of themselves and find myself muttering under my breath: 'no, don't take it with the light behind them', 'it would be better if you moved two metres to the left and didn't have the rubbish bin in the shot', 'if you just wait for the sun to come out from behind that cloud it'll be brighter' etc etc.
