Why?

Why?
They say that a television is a window to the world. Why then do you put a television in front of an actual window? TSC - The Sunday Challenge, Windows.

Another Link in the Chain - Front of television to back of television.

Update: This television is no longer in the window. They replaced it with another television!

, Indycaver (Norm), , have particularly liked this photo

Double window! That's why... Yes, it is especially stupid idea because especially in daylight it is not ideal place for television at all!

May be they don't like the idea that anyone can see what they're watching?

Never mind the TV, why put such silly little shutters on the window frames ... no way they would ever cover a window of that size - lol! ;)

I guess they would rather look at the synthesized world than the real? Great find!

Love the dark reflections of the trees but indeed that television is an eyesore. If one is going to insist on putting a television in front of a window at least hang curtains starting just at the top of the TV set and let them hang down and hide the lower section of the window. I bet all the professional interior design folks are cringing at the sight of this. :)

Perhaps they don't want reflections from the window when they watch tv during the day.

The decorative shutters are very prevalent in my town. We don't use real shutters here very much.

Neat find and photo! I suppose it keeps the sun off the screen this way! I suppose someday someone will figure out how to save some space and put the TV picture inside the window itself!
