These are the indigenous names of trading posts from early in the history of Western habitation and fur trading in British Columbia in Canada. They say that Fort Langley is the birthplace of British Columbia, that is why it is a national historic site. The name Penticton is the name of a prominent community in the interior of the province of British Columbia. The sign below it is likely the indigenous name that was Anglicized. At the top one can just make enough of the Kamloops sign. It too is a prominent city in the interior of British Columbia. Langley is very close to Vancouver.
