Interesting question!
Just now, thinking I may have remembered the name, I looked up, "Lake Amdicon" -- and found "Lake Amicon" (in Wisconson).
Since I didn't read or write very much when my Daddy took the photo, I was just guessing by how they pronounced it.

Anyhow: I can smell the wet canvas of the sail on the sailboat...
