Sinasos-Eski Yunan Taş Ev... Old Greek Stone House...

Sinasos-Eski Yunan Taş Ev... Old Greek Stone House...
Mustafapaşa is a town established within the Mustafapaşa Valley some five kilometres to the south of Ürgüp. It is one of the places, which is drawing the attention of Turkish and foreign tourists coming to Cappadocia because of the very different architecture of the village houses.
The first things attracting attention when one enters the town are the methods of construction of the houses and the decorations on the edges of the doors and windows.
Greek Christians were living here prior to the population exchanges between Turkey and Greece, which followed the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923. After the exchange the Turks settled here. The names Sinanon /Sinasos for this town were used by the Greeks and changed by the Turks to Mustafapaşa later.
