Great find - a lot of fences there, in the background, in the window and of course the shadow fence! Like the blue peeling paint as well!

I'm afraid I do not have a reflection and sometimes do not cast a shadow. I'm not sure why this is.

Well, it is true that I arrived on the Demeter at Whitby a while ago (losing my passport in the wreck), but my tireless work at the Blood Donor Centre has meant that I'm a respected member of the local community.

What you see is what you get, right?
I like the peeling blue lacquer and the fence in the backdrop, I became aware on second sight.
HFF!

"What you see is what you get" is a tricky philosophical proposition. We'll have to go into the shed and see what's in there.

Heisenberg taught me that the best way to cope with retirement was to get a shed and manufacture Blue Sky. The cat comes and goes through the cat-flap. He stops the mice nibbling the crystals. It's all good.

I am not entirely sure, if Heisenberg's quantum mechanics satisfies the retired working class.
However, it depends on a trial.

Good night.

I have to disagree, Neil. Is a shed a rose? Will people start giving each other sheds for Christmas? Will you be inspired to photograph sheds? Hasn't the idea of the shed become a tired "humorous" staple of popular culture? "A Shed of One's Own", "The Joy of Sheds", "One Man and his Shed" ?

MInd you, I think the future may be in fences. The Poetry of Fences, perhaps. A lovely, illustrated coffee-table book. Maybe next Christmas...

A shadow is most of the time enough to make you understand what you can expect of the coming next. The shadow as herald of a very near future. Should we put back fences on all the borders? build walls to protect? Or the shadow as a residual appearance, an ectoplasmic rest. However, this is a good shot in a good format.
