Country Waders

Country Waders
This shot shows a large flock of waders that look like they're deep in wooded country. However, it's an illusion - the lapwing and black-tailed godwit were spooked from marshland of the Burton Mere Wetlands reserve and were caught circling over surrounding woodland of Burton village - a very nice place to live!

Marie Tissier, Claudine Gaulier-Denis, Malik Raoulda, Mackedwars and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

And who is spooky enough to make them circle aboove the woods? Owl, Harrier or Sparrow Hawk...... ? :)

In this case it was a juvenile marsh harrier. I got a few shots of it in flight but wasn't happy with the quality.
