Yellow-legged Gull

Yellow-legged Gull
The yellow-legged gull is essentially a herring gull with yellow rather than pink legs. It differs from the lesser black-backed gull, which has yellow legs, by having a pale grey, rather than dark grey, back. It is now recognised as a separate species.

It has become established in the UK, especially in the south, but is common in France. This one was photographed on the shore between Cantziac and Sene.
