Beautiful Demoiselle (m)

Beautiful Demoiselle (m)
This male beautiful demoiselle damselfly was sat on a nettle leaf waving his abdomen, presumably advertising his presence to the opposite sex through a pheromone trail.

Photographed on the banks of the River Elorn at Landernau in Brittany. I have yet to see one of these beautiful insects in this country.

Many thanks Frank-Michael. A reasonable result considering he was in deep shade.
