Hey Roy, this is actually a "Small Magpie Moth" Anania hortulata, not just "Magpie Moth" which is Abraxas grossulariata. Nice anyway :)

Thanks Mike - never realised there was a small one. I see that this one has an association with nettles, which makes a lot more sense. I was wondering about the lack of currant bushes in the area......
