Wolfing Down Lunch

Wolfing Down Lunch
A female hunting or wolf spider tucking into a fly for lunch on a thistle in the margins of the local golf course. Attached to her spinnerettes is a sack full of her eggs. My tentative identification is a species of the genus Pardosa.

A great image, I have one similar, I really like these common little spiders. Most people overlook them, which is a shame, they make very good Mothers.

Many thanks David. They are indeed. They even carry the spiderlings around for a time after hatching.
