The Rise of the Phoenix

The Rise of the Phoenix
When I saw this Arriva DAF DB250LF with an Alexander ALX400 body in Gronant my jaw dropped. It started life in 1998 as a London bus in bright red livery. Some time around 2010 it was acquired by Arriva North West, lost a door (London buses have separate entrance and exit doors) and turned blue inside and out. It was frequently used on my bus route to work and was exceptionally uncomfortable. It was a great relief when it no longer came and I presumed it had retired to a scrapyard somewhere. However, I was wrong. It has had its roof cut off, new seats fitted and is working the North Wales holiday coast route from Towyn to Talacre. I just hope they also replaced the suspension!

Many thanks Nick. They're not exactly camouflaged so are easy to spot!
