Many thanks Steve. Quite a few flying throughout April plus small tortoiseshells. Lats week orange tips and green-veined whites were also to be seen.

Excellent capture Roy especially on that tree. We used to call it Pussy Willow down south.

Many thanks John. Also know these trees as Pussy Willow because of the furry catkins.

Many thanks Roger. It is early for this far North, but there's a shot of one from the Isle of Wight on March 11 (http://www.ipernity.com/doc/371735/37408228/in/activity/37939422)!

This is lovely, Roy. Are you seeing many butterflies down there?

The pussy willow is a delight too., such a good time of year to be "out and about". Best wishes for this weekend. My gardener told me this morning that the weather would be OK..(he's an optimist..)

Many thanks Joan. Yes, at least four species on the wing at present. Just had a glorious afternoon walking out to Hilbre Island, so the weekend's starting well! Enjoy yours too.
