Coltsfoot

Coltsfoot
I am used to seeing coltsfoot as isolated clumps of half a dozen stems. This huge plant was just a small part of a yellow carpet lining one of the paths through the Port Sunlight River Park. Maybe the park's history as a landscaped landfill tip has produced soil very much to the coltsfoot's liking.

Daniel Palacin, ColRam, Jan Hemels, Joan+ and 6 other people have particularly liked this photo

I adore Coltsfoot, one of the very first flowers I was shown as a small child in the Dales.

This is a beautiful cluster of them, a real Harbinger of Spring
