Les premiers moines français s'établirent à St-Benoit-du-lac, en Estrie, en 1912. Le tout premier monastère était très simple. Tout débuta par une vie monastique très rustique.

En fait Benoit était Italien et naquit en l'an 480.

The first french monks have settled in 1912. The very first monastery was utterly simple. The beginning was rather a rustic monastic way of living.

Benoit was actually Italian and was born in 480.
