Constructed in 1837, St. Jean Baptiste Church, Corberrie, is valued as the second oldest Roman Catholic Church in Nova Scotia. This wooden frame church with its front tower is no longer in use. The last service was held on January 29 2007.

great image. We have a similar looking one in the port of Cardiff/Wales but built by Norwegian seaman who would prey before making the perilous journey into the Atlantic for crossing/trading etc.

Thanks Andy. Many of the older churches in Nova Scotia were constructed by local boat builders skilled at joinery and timber frame construction.
